A week after completing the requirements, NZIS Makati emailed my dear MIL to inform that her application is on Managed Queue. Within the next 4 weeks they'll contact her again for her application's processing time and case officer. I don't think she'll face the case officer for an interview. I believe that they'll make a decision based on the documents we submitted.
The end of the 4th week falls on May 10. I hope that a positive decision has been made by then. The kids and I are scheduled to leave on May 19. It would be less taxing for me if she could accompany us on our trip.
