Top 20 Universities

School opening na in a week or two. Most students are already enrolled by this time. I'm pretty sure most are done with shopping for school supplies. That's how we typically prepare for the new school year. But how much planning do we do in choosing our or our children's school?

I knew only 5 schools for college. I ended up in MIT because my sister's best friend studies there.

I realized the importance of coming from a good school after college. Sometimes you see in the ads that employers prefer graduates of big universities.

Recently, I got this email about the tops schools in the Philippines (although no confirmation from CHED).

1. University of the Philippines (Diliman Campus);
2. University of the Philippines (Los Banos Campus);
3. University of the Philippines (Manila Campus);
4. Silliman University (Dumaguete City);
5. Ateneo de Davao University (Davao);
6. Ateneo de Manila University (Manila);
7. University of Sto. Tomas (Manila);
8. Mindanao State University (Iligan Institute of Tech);
9. Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (Manila);
10. Saint Louis University (Baguio City);
11. University of San Carlos (Cebu City);
12. Xavier University (Cagayan de Oro);
13. Mindanao State University (Main);
14. Urios College (Butuan City);
15. Polytechnic University of the Philippines (Manila);
16. De La Salle University (Manila);
17. Mapua Institute of Technology (Manila);
18. Adamson University (Manila);
19. Central Mindanao University (Bukidnon);
20. University of Southern Philippines (Davao).

No wonder sikat yung construction company nila.

Kasama sa reconized ang Mapua, Ateneo, UP (paaralan mo), UST at DLSU. I'll email you the complete list.

BTW, not all from these recognized schools get exemption from NZQA. On the interview stage, some are advised to get NZQA assessment.

Hello ms. jinkee. I was reading your posts. Hope you dont mind. Nakita ko yung about Intramuros. So i was wondering kung saang school ka until i read this particular article...Schoolmate pala kita! It's been a long time since I went there...talaga may Starbucks na? The last i remember is the McDonald's dun sa front and it's always crowded. Maswerte ka kapag dumating ka dun at may mauupuan ka at walang pila. Hehehe..

Hi Bluegreen,
McDo was still on the planning stage when I graduated. Nung bumalik ako a year later, may Mcdo na. Starbucks is near Letran.
