VV XX (visitor's visa second extension)

MIL originally had a 58 days visitor's visa on her passport. We could have opted for a longer period but that would mean paying a non-refundable fee of P4+++. When she's already here, we applied for extension to make it 6months. This is gonna expire in November. Madali lang ang extension. You do it online. No documents required, you just pay $80 application fee.

Two weeks ago, she applied for another extension. This time for Nov to Feb. Again, we did this online. May bayad ulit na $80. A few days later, we got a letter requesting MIL to submit a chect x-ray cert and evidence of fund which amounts to $1000 for each month of stay (or $400/mo if you have pre-paid accommodation). Walang problem sa xray kasi nakakuha na kami nito a couple of weeks ago (for $86). We knew beforehand that visitor's visa application for more than 6months would need an xray cert.

Yung pangalawang requirement ang di namin inanticipate. May funds naman si MIL pero nasa Manila. Marami pang trabaho kung mare-request pa kami ng statement sa bangko. Nag-open na lang kami ng account dito last week. I just printed the account balance from the internet tapos pinadala ko na sa Immigration together with the xray cert.

On the same day na na-receive ng Immigration yung requirements ay inapprove yung extension. MIL will be staying with us til mid Feb. That brings her total visit to 9 months which is the maximum. Makakapasok ulit sya ng NZ after 9 months.
